we went to same field 100 was shot last sat. same amount of birds around flighting to and from fields and on the laid patches;we decided on opposite end of field from last week; birds were flighting over and into a little pit with tall oaks around it a bit of laid in front of it we set the hide under one of the oaks no decoys out;no need for em as knew they would flight over us;and they did shot a couple set one out on a floater and the birds came right in onto laid at side of it. and as more and more came in we set up the dead birds out to one side of it and they decoyed brilliantly so no need for the rotary today which is good no carrying of battery and machine to spot..another good day this week on the woodies..shot 66.picked 54.

Strange thought they would have preffered the milky wheat at the moment :good:

Must be down to a good presentation on the decoying front

well same thoughts they normally do prefer the wheat at this stage for easy digesting. and as we know you can;t beat a pattern of dead birds.
