Vince Green
One of the mail order catalogues, I think its called Lakeland do a copper and Brass cleaner bath called quickshine, its a number of sachets of crystals and you put one sachet in water and then put the cases in. They come out like new. Very cheap. then you can store the liquid in a plastic bottle till the next time.
M4X
I have so far tried "Sea Clean" as per instructions on the bottle - very good but expensive to use, also tried cream of tartar teaspoon to a pint - not so good but cheap! (maybe I need to make it a bit stronger). Not tried yet is a bit of "Fairy Power Spray" in water as suggested by a pw member a short time ago! Also I can see the idea of neutralising the vinegar (or tartaric acid [cream of tartar]) in sodium bicarb (bicarbonate of soda) but a good wash in water would do that! cooter
A teaspoon of citric acid powder and a drop of washing up liquid in the beaker with enough warm water to cover the cases. buzz until clean, rinse with tap water, a few granules of sodium bicarbonate, or washing powder, in clean tap water and buzz for a few mins to neutralize, rinse in tap water, buzz for a few mins in warm water dry in the oven on 100 C.
