HW682
If i was you I would at least disguise the email address a bit. As a minimum change @ to "at", . to "dot" and maybe space the other characters out. That way you might be a bit less likley to attract spam Would someone with a moderated shotgun be of any help? I'm not offering myself BTW - just a thought. Good luck

Good luck sorry didnt know i wasnt suppose to put my email addy up have considered the hushpower route but the location of the field really doesnt lend itself to any kind of shooting except maybe a sub 12 ft lb airgun but the problem with that is the numbers of them . but thanks for the suggestion . pete
ian_in_the_midlands
I know it is a shame to resort to gas, but surely it will be more effective than ferrets - especially at this time of year?
Beretta28g
Ferreting at this time of year will be problematic with the ferrets tending to lie up underground eating the young and then going to sleep. Gassing would sort the problem but you cannot use gas within a certain distance of buildings. Lamping/nightvision would clear numbers fast and effectivily; the use of a high seat would help on the saftey issues you have if you were going to use a rimfire but if not a good air-rifle and a few evenings should do the trick. jonesbach
how come nobody around me comes up with problems like this!! lol i also think that a sensible guy with a rimfire and a lamp will see off your pests in a few nights..! have to agree finding a high point will help no end, not only for safety but also the rabbits will be less jumpy. Beretta a good man with a sub 12 air rifle should clear them out without annoying the locals ,ive taken 32 out of a garden in 9 visits and the garden is about half a football pitch ,gas is a waste of meat if you ask me
jonevo
Long netters will sort that problem out for you mate, ferreting is abit long winded and time consuming, especially this time of year Edited July 27, 2010 by jonevo
