  1. is the tikka still up for sale

  2. VERY GOOD ADVICE fishy cat food put through the blender , the smellier the better works well too , i put mine in a tall white bucket laid on its side so i can see when they go in it without the light then give them the good old lead desert
  3. each barrel is different so what works in 1 raider might not be as good in yours , get yourself some trial packs and punch some paper to see which works for you
  4. i wouldnt pu any gun in a shed , 1 its damp so the gun will rust and 2 how many sheds get broken into for fishing gear , loads so that is not safe
  5. you are very welcome i had a break for 20 years (the exwife was vegi) and air gunning has come on light years . i have a shoot near martin mere pm me if you fancy a walk
  6. a diver friend told me that all pressured air vessels should be kept with pressure in as it helps stop them corrodding and failing the test
  7. just had a look 2 buddie bottles some shot count that will be but who needs that many
  8. on the packs i have it says no lead pellets penetrates deeper guaranteed thats on all 10 packs
  9. logun penetrator are lead free and ive had squirrels at all sorts of ranges with them , they are 16 grain so carry alot of energy to the target
  10. there is a diving shop near the docks in preston , i have a pump for my ultra and fill it every time i get back , as long as it is not completely empty it dosnt take long to fill but it dos get the heart rate up so you cold think of it as exercise
  11. it is the diameter of the pellet that gives a good seal and as .22 falls between 5.5 and 5.6 mm ,a heaviest 5.6 will have a higher ME than a lightest 5.5 ,all other fall some where in between .best to crono your rifle with some from each end of the scale and check the diameters of your rifle bore and ammo
  12. i use a hand held monocular to scan then when i spot a target swap to the gun lamp , its the movement of the light that spooks them , works for me
  13. side wheel scopes are genraly used for field target , what are you intending doing
  14. i have an ultra and fx pump , i hunt with mine and find it easier to top up with every time i get home from shooting , lets face it if you empty the cylinder when you go out you either need a trailer to carry all you have shot or more practice .if you are target shooting a bottle is a must cos you would spend more time filling than shooting
  15. i dont think its for what i do ,i shoot about 20 shot at most when im hunting but if you are firing more it might be but i just fill with a pump when i get home
  16. what the hell do you want from that rip off merchant

    Bsa ultra

ive had mine for 3 years and it well out performs its price tag ,ive taken 60 rabbits out of a orchard that is half the size of a football pitch in the last 3 months ,put a bipod on and you can get half inch groups at 40 yards ,the mags can skip but if you bag 1 with all of the 10 shots youll have a bad back carrying it all
  18. comparing a £400 pcp to a £800 is a bit unfair , an ultra is a dam sight better than a springer of the same cost , i have a ultra and a friend has a hw 97 and that sounds like a bluder bus ,then there is the recoil
  19. if i had a budget of £800 i wouldnt be buying a noisy springer
  20. you need to decied a budget ,calibre and type , do you want a springer or pcp . there are pros and cons to both but the new fx independance is supposed to have the best of both ,its not cheap though at £1000 then you would have the cost of your scope .get some air gun mags and see what floats your boat
