bigchap
dosimeters measure an individuals or an objects exposure to something in the environment — particularly to a hazard inflicting cumulative impact over long periods of time, or over a lifetime. about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike in my opinion. DSPUK
I have to ask Vernie why he paid £140 for it 10 yrs ago and for what reason did he buy it -- did you know something the rest of us didn't ? And if you have never used it is it now worth 100 quid not to be used for next ten years?

Highlander
what is it...well it's either a dosi (read dosy) meter for the uninitiated squaddie or it could be a dosi (read dozy) meter for the sleep deprived squaddie! If it measures environmental exposure how would it react to me being covered in pig **** I kid you not, I drove the truck with the windows AND the sun roof open (very hot this week) through a pool of the stuff (at speed as it was deep and slippy) and got rained on If you're gonna pressure wash yourself ...DON'T!
