vole
I read that the trigger on the 10/22 is terrible "out of the box " . Is this still the case with them ? How much to fix if so ? thanks for any info
the running man
Unfortunately mate, they are now even worse. ruger now make all the trigger gubbins from plastic. So it all depends what you want and wat u want to pay. Personally I would get a kid trigger (the best) and just drop it in. Or get rude fat dog to make u one up,check out his website. U want anymore info don't hesitate to ask,I spent much time and money on this subject!
steve_b_wales
Check out ruger22.com. This is an excellent website for the 10/22 owner. You can buy most items for the 10/22 and have them shipped to the Uk without any customs/excise problems. I have purchased many different 'bit's to upgrade my 10/22. Vermincinerator
You can get drop in trigger kits from several manufacturers including Volquartsen and Power Custom. Ian.

MC
I would try yours before spending any money, I have a 10/22 and there is nothing wrong with the trigger. OK it is no match trigger like on my Anschutz Target rifle but then I wouldn't expect it to be.

And remember there's a reason a 10/22 has such a stiff trigger, its because in the u.s. Its aimed (forgive the pun) at kids, and teenagers and beginers. Good luck.
