you could have a look on ebay, or if for shooting from you could get an Ifor williams top as you can make them dead easy to lift off and they are very light. Its almost the problem with most modern hardtops they get too difficult and heavy to be bothered taking them off

Yep, Al4x, did one myself for the IW top on the Landy but I'm now looking for a permanent fit on the Ranger. The people I've found have done 3 or4 previously and the chap knew exactly what I wanted it for. I'll check the 'bay but I have a sneaking feeling that it may end up with Hobson's choice.

Thanks, mate.

HDAV, hi.

Cracking idea, never thought and there's loads of boat builders where I am. Will keep that in mind, many thanks.

Pavman,

Excluding the top, your set up looks similar to my at the moment. Front bar has 2 lamps mounted at angles to increase the headlight beam spread but can also be switched independently for hedgerow sneaking. Rear bar plus small upstands and cross bar on ladder rack stops are used to mount shooting platform for rifle battery, etc etc.

Please tell about the top, eg, where from, side windows (can't tell from photo) and is hatch original equipment?

Looks just like what I'm after.

Many thanks,

Phil
