Hi all, anyone know of a decent clay ground near to Rugby. Im heading there on saturday to hopefully be buying a silver pigeon and dont think i can wait to get home to try it out. Anything on the way back from rugby to wisbech in cambridgeshire would be ideal although i dont mind a little detour. I got to give the missus something else to moan about other than me spending all my time going on about shooting and spending all my pennies

Cheers

Yes as suggested already - Barby Sporting and the Rugby Gun shop are owned by the same people - it is a great ground staffed by excellent, knowledgeable people. See you there!

I was under the impression that Barby only operated for a couple of hours on Sundays, the reason why I have never bothered going there. If it's a Saturday, or any other day you want (except Mondays) , divert off the A14 through Market Harborough to Kibworth Shooting Ground. That's a good all day, 6 day a week ground, plenty of variety, and very helpful people. You can sit there all day, there is a decent little cafe and a well stocked shop.

Check out the Kibworth web site for details.

Barby Sporting is open all day Saturday and Wednesdays too.

I've heard that Kibworth is very good (from Carl Bloxham), I must give it a try.
