yickdaz
me and the old fella had a look at some rape stubble and wheat stubble today few birds flighting onto the rape stubble and to the wheat stubble directly across the road from the rape we decided to give it a go on the rape we set up but after 30 mins there was no real interest from the birds to come in and in that time we saw birds flighting over the corner of a large wood near the wheat stubble over the road from us some going on the stubble also.so packed up walked back to the car and watched for 15 mins and thought we should give it a go at the wood corner..we had birds flight over us in no time shot a dozen.and a better flightline developed going to the stubble after a bit of reluctancy to move yet again we set up on the stubble with just the hide and whirly so not lugging all the gear yet again .. good move though got the whirly going and the birds came in immediatly and kept coming in well for next 2 hours we shot 56 in the 2 hours by that time it was 6pm and the birds slackened off so called it a day with 70 shot... 12 from previous hide site and the 56 from last move plus 2 ferals so very hard work but well worth the effort in the end. pic of the 56.the 12 others were at the wood were we set up second time.also had a downpour just after laying the birds out so they look a bit soaked in the pic
