t jack
out for a couple of hours on a local estate, at the request of the owner who wanted to shoot a few grouse, it was a bit hot, but thats not something you often say up here!! the estate house and farm hare butts, used to shoot 500 brace here, ive never seen one?? getting going first point the guns were way behind and took ten minutes to reach us, i think they thought theyd wait until i checked over the far bit to save them walking, except the grouse were there..... hurry up! the cock, trying to lead us a merry dance... he got shot for his troubles 3.5 brace for 2 hours, which is decent for this ground all pointed and retrieved, live to hand by Lexi

Maltese Falcon
Excellent mate. I wish i had an opportunity to work my weimaraner like that rather than rough shoot only. Love these dogs as they are one of my favourite gundogs alongside the weimaraner and the hungarian vizla.

WGD
Great account of a great outing t jack, well done. You must be very proud (deservedly so) of Lexi as she is such a young dog. Right, the million dollar question... she can hunt, she can point and she can retrieve (with a soft mouth) so that puts her streets ahead of most HPRs.... is she steady to flush?
