imarr17
What is the best way to use an ACME crow call? I was given one as a present, but when I use it (as per the instructions) it sounds (to my ear at least) more like a duck than a crow. I was amazed recently when I did a CAW CAAAWWW..........CAW CAAAWWW and about three times on the trot (over about 30 minutes) a crow appeared in the sitty tree above me looking at my decoys That is the feeding call apparently (and yes I sounded like a duck - but the crows didn't mind. If they spot any movement....they're gone. Lots of good stuff here http://www.crowbusters.com/ Good luck AndyCM Edited August 30, 2010 by AndyCM
stubby
I found the best way, is not to blow, hold between teeth with lips around it, and try coughing, with practise you'll be able to do it without actually coughing, a bit like gargling in the throat does that make sense
Beardo
as above - growl / cough / gargle rather than blow to avoid the dead duck sound

steve_b_wales
Get a Primos Power crow call instead. (£9.99) The ACME one is better suited for jackdaws.
