philh
Hi, I am thinking about trying to get a secondhand 12b Silver pigeon. However I am somewhat confused by the different models, does anyone have a silver pigeon? If so what model is it and what do you think of it? everything I read say these are a good all round gun. Thanks Phil.

Thanks Phil. i had a multi choke sporter that was a superb gun, having been looking around at them again recently i noticed there can be a huge difference in the quality/look of the wood, mine had a stunning stock but ive seen some this week that looked like an old air rifle.. kiddy1
Basically regarded as one of the best all rounders in the price range The variations in models just reflect the quality of the wood, and the engraving on the metal work, The only variations are fixed choke/multi choke, barrel length etc.
philh
Thanks for the replies. You all seem to support what i have heard that this is great gun, now I have to start looking. I have tried to limit myself to £1000, and see the new silver pigeon 1 is out at just over this. Has anyone seen this yet? Regards Phil. retromlc
I had an SP "S"686, 30" fixed choke ,12 bore game version, really great gun, loved it,only sold it as i mainly shoot in the hide and semi's are easier for me to use in a hide,I'd recommend one.
