Yeoman
Dont know if this is just around my neck of the woods but as ive been working on the land ive noticed that there are very few acorns on the oak trees. Some trees have very few and others have none whether its to do with the very dry spell we had or the cold spring i dont know. One thing is for sure is the pigeons will be feeding on the crops as there wont be enough acorns to go around Would be interesting to hear what other members think/have noticed. Shurely? Anyway, I concur with the OP - there appear to be few acorns on the oaks around me, although I've not explored much of the local area. Incidentally, has anyone tried growing an oak tree from an acorn? LS
al4x
trees are heaving with acorns here, loads of Blackberries and slows about as well. Zapp
It is the opposite around here, I have never seen so many on the trees and on the ground. The same goes for blackberries, sloes, apples etc etc.
