Bonna
We are always having to be careful these days due to out and out tossers who think they are funny. My lads and I were e-mailed by a farmer in Greasborough (Rotherham) who claimed to have a real bad rabbit problem and would we shoot them for him. He had a deer farm and was also troubled by Fox and could we sort them out too. The 4 of us went ot hte meeting point to see this Farmer Richard as he introduced himself over the e-mail but it was becomming a long wait. Another guy showed up and informed us that this would be Richard Grayson who had no deer, no wodlands, came from a nearby village called Nether Hough and was currently cutting grass in his fields. Next, along came the game keeper, an irritable type ( as gamekeepers seem to be) who bore our the news that Richard Grayson had only limmited land, No woodlands, no deer and no right to set anyone on as all lands were the property of Wentwoth estates. After showing the Gamey all our correspondence he agreed to take the case to the Estates Manager who has not been near with any response. It is just good fortune that we waited by the roadside and did not enter the land with rifles at the ready. We would all be awaiting court proceedures by now. So! the looneys are out there people. Lets be carefull.

What a nasty piece of pondlife1 keep his email address, and sign him up for every thing you can find on the internet ..dogging sites, secret shopper and all manner of stuff!! lol. still it's probably a made up email addy, just for the purpose of doing what he did.. better still email him and say, sorry you missed him at the rendevous, but you bumped into another land owner and managed to secure 100's of acres, that'll **** him off! Elby
I've had a few people on here ask me where my farm is because they want to come beating. I feel terrible telling them I won't sow them the farm until I meet them first. But like you say, you can't be too carefull
kent
See the otherside also, too many estates and holders of shooting rights do not manage the land with any care for the farmer. I wouldn't mind betting he had genuine problems but was scared off by the Estate, why didn't you just go and chat to him without the guns etc if he was mowing then he could have given you his side of the story. At the other hand some "landowner farmers" deserve all they get when they sell the shooting rights off to the highest bidder than nobody will sort the vermin out correctly and the Does damage the crop coz the stalker is only intrested in shooting the big trophy bucks
Bonna
what was the point of him doing this? how did he get hold of you?.. I advertise for vermin control and several farmers have taken us up. This one is just a badgers ******** who richly fits the word vermin. I think some people get off on it, or maybe he didn't like the gamekeeper and thought we would see to him. I just don't get people these days.
