yankeedoodlepigeon
Hi all it seems after putting my gun back together after a good clean I took it out to zero and could not do it. So I just got in and while looking down the barrel at a object I can't get the cross hairs to fix on this point its always pointing to the left no matter what way I put the mounts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Lea
foxy 2250
if you wre looking through the barrel at an object and the gun is still, the crosshairs should be in thje centre if u are ajusting the scope and it isnt moving try another scope as it wont be the mounts thats the problem

pabs
Free floating barrel or bedded? Sounds like it aint gone back on straight. I take it the scope alignment was fine before you dismantled the rifle? Whats different with the set up compared to before? CharlieT
First off what rifle and scope do you have. Which mounts do you have ? Did you separate the scope from the mounts? When you turn the turrets do the cross hairs move ?
kent
Go back to the begining and start again. What type of gun? did you remove the barrel from action? do the mounts line though correctly? why if it was zeroed previously did it not return to a near zero? Sounds very much like a mounting mishap to me on the face of it, forget the bore sighting the gun should have been near enough on re-assembly needing only a few clicks at most
al4x
are the mounts adjustable? thats the only thing thats thrown me in the past
dunganick
If your bore sighting then remember the cross hairs adjust the opposite way to what you might think. Knowing what Rifle and mounts might help us out.
