JMW
Hi, I just want to check, I have had a piece of land cleared for 22LR only, does that mean I can use a SGC shotgun on the land as well or is the land clearance only to do with firearms? Secondly my certificate is away for variation and I am out of ammo, can my father buy ammo and transfer it to me, do I need to write it down or just add it onto my certificate when it comes back? Thirdly, I had some CCI 29 grain ammo and I couldn't get it to group at all in my CZ 452 22lr, all over the place, it was fine in the ruger 10/22. Has any one else had this problem? I don't have any 40 grain ammo to check with at the moment. Jon

You're fine to use a shotgun. Secondly my certificate is away for variation and I am out of ammo, can my father buy ammo and transfer it to me, do I need to write it down or just add it onto my certificate when it comes back? Get your dad to buy the ammo then when your cert arrives get him to write it in. Thirdly, I had some CCI 29 grain ammo and I couldn't get it to group at all in my CZ 452 22lr, all over the place, it was fine in the ruger 10/22. Has any one else had this problem? rimfire4969
As above, Plus different ammo fits different barrels, what works in one might not work in the other. My 10/22 loves winchester but does not like cci.
JMW
Hi, Thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought you could use a SG on SGC anywhere you had permission. I just can't use the FAC shotgun. I'm hoping the CZ doesn't like the cci ammo and its accuracy will return once I start feeding it the regular diet, rather than a gun problem. vampire
Hi,cci were not very good through mine either, have now switched to elley subs and rws, both are quieter and more accurate. Land cleared for .22lr is just that, for .22lr and nothing to do with anything else. You can use sgc shotgun where ever you deam fit within the law
CharlieT
As with a SGC shotgun you do NOT need land clearance for a S1 shotgun. Without your FAC you can not purchase or acquire ammunition for your .22lr. Therefore legally your father can not give you any ammo now and write it on your ticket when it comes back. That said if your father was to buy some ammo the same as you bought last and he used it up quickly, there's no batch traceability. No-one knows how much shooting you have done.........
