Cranfield
I shot 100 Sporting at this ground today with two friends (one had prebooked for us) and it was an excellent session. Probably the best, most imaginative layout I have ever seen, in a superb setting. Well recommended, although I did miss a few. One interesting point was that the clay traps were powered by solar panels.
Reefcat
Had a great day out there in July. Did you enjoy the Warren? How did you get on with the rats? We had a club day out there, the warren stand had some rat targets, where a clay is rolled down a ramp just under gravity. It rolls past you about 3 metres out at something less than walking speed. Our club secretary did some stats following the event, where he discovered that our A class shooters couldn't hit them, whilst the C class shooters had by far the greatest success. Great ground and a lot of fun to shoot, we'll be going back next year if not before.
Cranfield
The Rat was rather embarrassing and I missed the first one in front, you are given so little time to shoot it, that you think its going faster than it is. I rifle shot the next one and it disintegrated. The tilting traps on the telephone tower, means he can throw clays higher than I have ever seen before. He has obviously put a lot of thought into the whole venture. We will definitely be back.
