yes

 

with abit of practice they do work well, some better than others

 

acme crow call, cheap and they work with practice

 

there is better ones and i have heard alot about them..but cant remember what they are called

they can make a lot of difference convincing hard to decoy crows in, but do take a lot of practise

Can agree. I have the MID (Magpie in Distress) from Sam.

It works really well. Magpies are gathering quite quick in the next tree. Challenge will always be to persuade one to come to you ;-)

 

You can also attract crows by it. Very usefull item for gun and run.

I have always wondered why can you use a crow or magpie call to shoot them but you can`t use a pigeon call to attract pigeons to shoot??

corvids use sound a lot more for communication than pigeons - which rely far more on feather displays for communication (makes sense, as black feathers all over don't really lend themselves to signals, whereas white bars changing size and position are pretty obvious)

I highly recommend the Primos Power crow call. With practice, it can be used for crows,rooks and jackdaws. It costs around £10, and in my opinion, is money well spent.
