Well had some sucsess tonight, i was on my own and had a great night listening to fox mating music

Was in a different arae, another lamb call, but these foxes were helping themselfs to a few laying hens aswell.

First fox came to my fox bark and sat at 125yds, bang flop. :D

Second fox, took 20 odd mins to bring in to 102yds for a safe shot, another bang flop.

Third fox, was playing hide and seek behind a bank,( now you see me now you dont) when i saw him, a bang flop accured. :P

Had a quick clance at the golf course on the way back and poted a lovely hare. :P

Out 2 hours, 4 results.

Have another lamb call to deal with, prehaps tommorow night.

All on lamp and all with CZ 527 .223 using Federal 40 grain Nosler ballistic tips.

Nice shooting Frank.

Them foxes look mud fat especially the one on the right.

What are you feeding them ?

Hate to see hares shot,It means one less one for me to catch with my nets but i suppose it has to be done :P

Im feeding them very stinky fish. :D

On the subject of shooting hares, these fellas are cousing mayhem at a golf course, i usually only shoot about one or 2 a year, but these hares are becoming a pest and i got a special permit out in order to shoot them at night from the wildlife department.

Whats this about you netting them then? Why do you net them?

Cheers.

I have seen the damage hares can do.Used to work planting forestry and they would destroy the young saplings we were planting by stripping the bark.

I net the hares if they become a problem or a nuisance like the lads in your golf course and relocate them to a more hare friendly envoirment and i also net them which i am licenced to do for the coursing clubs to run there meetings.

Do you eat the hares frank?

Love a bit of hare stew myself

How are you finding the bi-pod, are you taking longer range shots??

Has it boosted your confidence(not like you have been missing anyway)

Hi Kip, i love the Bi-pod, should of got one years ago, they really do help with long range shots.

I think we all do from time to time.:P

Do you use an aid or just your voice?

When im doing the fox bark, i try and use my voice :*) , if i can do it  , not easy, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Usually i end up sounding like a constepated fox instead.

One word for it= Amazing

Well done

Whats more amazing is, how foxes have increased so much over the last few years over here in Ireland, even though their is every tom **** harry in the country after them. :)

I resent being called every Tom,**** or Harry :<

It is every Paddy,Mickey joe or Seamus over here Frank
