HI

Just received my unlocked sim free Samsung B2100 mobile, original idea was to put my works phone sim into this but now i have thought about just getting a pay as you go sim and then divert my work phone to this when im out and about shooting, just saves keep taking the back off the phone and swapping cards over etc.

But as i never had a PAYG before is there any ones to avoid or must have or are they all about the same

Cheers in advance

I use boring old Tesco,s PAYG in my phone and have never had any problems whatsoever with the service-i allways seem to get a signal when people around me cant.I put £10 a month in and that gets trebled and so long as i only use mainly my 5 favouirite numbers then i rarely use all the credit+ i get clubcard points which helps pay my RAC membership and the cheapest mobile directory services on the market.

What about coverage, as im out along the foreshore, the reason why i got the phone, i obviously want good signal coverage so how do i check this before buying a PAYG sim?

Cheers

I am on Orange and they are now telling me that soon I will be able to pick up a signal from T-mobile masts as well as orange and visa versa so the signal coverage of those 2 should improve.

Apart from the network coverage maps on the relevant networks web page if you have access to an iphone it will search for all available networks, very handy if there is a specific place you have to have a signal.

If coverage is your main concern then you only have one choice. Vodafone. Every provider will have black spots so check their coverage maps but Vodafone's is the largets.

You shouldn't have any problems if you're diverting your work mobile to your PAYG mobile - so long as you work mobile allows or can be configured to do that.

Got to admit i have been thinking the same, about the only one where you get a signal off shore in a boat....

Thanks guys for all the help
