Billy.
lads, whats the best 270 ammo out there at the mo?? price grouping etc etc!! Thanks I got quite settled into the Winchester 130grn, dropping foxes no problem with no misses, until I ran out and then the RFD did. Best bet is to go down the reloading route. You get full flexibility in what you're shooting and you get a real link with your ammo, knowing that you made it and that you made it accurately. I pay about £15 for a box of 20, but prices have been going up and up and it's been a while since I bought any Edited October 3, 2010 by Billy. Even reloading is getting harder. Bullets are getting to be tough to source.

And I'm not sure what bullet. I can find out 4 u if u like.
Vince Green
The big issue around ammunition is not which ones are good for the price, the big issue is what you can get your hands on. Chances are your local dealer will have one type on the shelf and thats it, take it or leave it.

Billy.
Out this evening with the .270 Shot two foxes and missed one with 100grainers. Not happy. That's the last of my factory ammo, so I'm going to make a trip to a shop to buy me some primers and bullets Edited October 4, 2010 by Billy.
