Catamong
I'm saying that a very slow spin speed on a short armed rotary does not attract as many birds as a faster spin speed on a longer armed rotary. That's what I've found, others will disagree. Cat Cat, What length arms do you call short and what length do you call long? Are we talking bought or made rotaries? Stuart, The arms on my rotary are about 9' long. It is a "home made" model that I bought from a guy in Sussex about 4 years ago for £130. It was one of the many "copycat" designs that came on the market soon after they were launched when anybody with access to a welding gun and with a bit of spare time could make a bob or two. I simply wasn't prepared to pay the £399 that the original manufacturers of the Pigeon magnet were asking. The downside is that it runs off a car battery which is a real sod to carry any distance, and before anybody comments, yes I'm a big ****** too..!! Cat.
