Raja Clavata
Can anyone please clarify exactly what is meant by the term "experienced shooter" in the context of a FAC condition whereby someone must be accompanied by such a person when shooting? Thanks in advance Raja
Harnser
Proberbly somebody who has a few years experiance shooting game and vermin with a rifle and who has an open ticket . I carnt see how any body can be described as an experianced shooter .Who actually says that a person is experianced ? . The shooter himself ? the local police ? the land owner ? I dont know . I would concider my self an experianced shooter ,but by which yard stick . You could be an experianced shooter ,but not a very good shot ,or indeed a dangerous shot . Harnser . Pastiebap
Unsure about mainland UK, but in Northern Ireland (if my memory serves me right) it specifies on FAC as someone (possibly over the age of 21) who has possessed a firearm of that calibre for three or more years. Devon Fox
My flo told me that ideally you need to have been through at least 1 renewal & have an open ticket.
