Frenchieboy
Trully amazing photos. Underwater photos seem to be so "atmospheric", sometimes as in the case of the wreck almost earie! Let's see some more please.

docholiday
fantastic shots (oh to have a decent rig like yours) I am going to sell it soon to upgrade, let me know if you ever are interested Trouble is when you have this sort of kit it makes flying a pain in the ***** due to the bulk. also when you dive you tend to just concentrate on small subjects and its difficult to be part of a dive unless you are with other photographers. I know its frowned on but we usually all dive on our own, I have been known to spend over an hour shooting a single nudibranch so no partner is going to hang around for that!! The wife would kill me, plus i don't really dive enough to justify it - maybe a couple of times a year normally. We're off to the Cape Verde islands for our hols next year, so looking forward to that (and the potential diving)
docholiday
Nick if you want an instant improvement in your underwater results,, can I recommend a book by Martin Edge called T he underwater photographer. He is a good mate of mine and lives in Bournemouth, I have dived with him so many times and learnt so much. If u are keen he does brilliant one on one lessons with work in a pool, it is brilliant and changed my photography. I wouldn't get to hung up on the equipment, I have seen some amazing results with a compaq. anyway basic rule get as close as *** for the flash to have any effect, try and get on eye level or below with any subject, I am out stalking tomorrow night so will put one up on thursday that I did well with in the last competition I entered cheers and thanks to all for your encouraging comments. Mrs Sweepy I will dedicate Thursdays pic to you for all the kind things you have said Doc
