Crow Shooting

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine has asked if I can do anything about the crows on his oats. I don't really have the time or the decoys but if anyone does can they PM me. You would need to have insurance and and this would only be for crows as I shoot the rest of the land. There is anout 200 acres.

Thanks

Harry

so you only have time for the good stuff? you might find your permission heading elsewere mate your landowner requires your help so get the deeks spend the time or someone else will

If you don't know what your on about then keep quiet. The person concerned owns the farm next to mine and is a good friend and neighbour. Crows are not normally a problem and I don't have the time, experience or equipment to deal with them. Do you suggest I keep quite, don't offer anyone on here the oppertunity and leave him in the lurch or is it better to try and help him out?

I just wish I lived your neck of the woods. You are sound offering this to a local and anyone who bleats and shouts needs their bumps feling, maybe quite heavily.

Well done mate and if ever you need held closer to me give me a shout and it would be a pleasure.

Guys like you are few and far between. A gentleman and ace gut but that just my opinion

Keep on keeping on. and for you persons who are knocking this, it could be you could lose your permission or are new and would welcome some free sport.

Thanks for all the PM's.

I have been working away and today was the first chance I had to have a look for myself. There are quite a lot of crows on the freshly sowed oats. I think they are after the ones left on the surface. They seemed to clear off after a few shots but there were still a lot flying about. I think there is a rookery in a near by woods but I can't shoot that.

I have had a chat with the farmer and he is very worried about having someone he does not know on his land. I said if he wants it shot I can meet up with the person first and show them the area and he is happy with that.

He is going to have a look in the morning and see how many are about and give me a ring and I will get back to you.

Thanks for your patience.

Harry
