ShaggyRS6
Or rather, a ferret found us. My wife called me this morning to say that one of the Ferrets had escaped, it was on the outside of the cage. I told her to check the cage for holes and i would call her back. 10 mins later i called again and she said that this was a new Ferret, it had just turned up at out house and was trying to get in to the cage to see my 4. Its riddled with fleas and ticks which i will sort out over the weekend. I am assuming its been missing from its home for a while. I will advertise locally to see if anyone has lost it. In the meantime I will keep him separate until the fleas have gone, what should I do going forward? How will 2 boys and 3 girls get on? My original Hob has had a vasectomy, i have no idea bout the new fella. Will the boys fight?
Scully
More than likely,if you put them in the same cage.People would now and again drop unwanted ferrets over my garden fence ,obviously knowing I kept ferrets. One night I picked up a ferret outside one of my cages, and thinking one of my hobs had got out I popped it back in the hobs cage and almost instantly there was a hell of a fight. When I got my torch and went back out I realised it wasn't one of mine.It was fun trying to separate them! ShaggyRS6
I checked the new addition over. He is ball less. Will this make any difference to the fighting?
polester
I put my nipped hob with my dads nipped hob and they fought like nothing else. I think it was because 1 was on the others teritory. You could try them together and if they dont get on split them and put a gill in with each

Scully
I would keep him separate from your other ferrets shaggy, until you're sure he is 'tickless'.Have fun.

Ferret Master
If you are going to get them to interact for the first time then it's best for it to be in neutral territory (such as a kitchen floor) with lots of toys and food to distract them.
