remmy1100
started off today out with me lad and the dog walking some new permission shot 8 pigeons then decided to call at the farmers place had promised him a bottle to say thanks for the permission and all, well im glad i did as he had another load of land he wanted me to cover 150,000 acres to be precise but to pay special attention to five fields, not far from a major roosting wood i saw why when i popped in for a look just before dusk there was around 3000 birds easy using the wood and the fields where hammered to the stalk in most places, hoping for some strong wind so i can give it good shoot with minimal disturbance to avoid spooking to many birds to keep them coming.have posted pic of the fields not a pretty site..also farmer told me he owns 15 farms ive landed good this time

deputy dog
Went out last Saturday with Chewy. We found a few fields with plenty of birds on but we could not get permition to shoot over them, which was a bit of a ******. Ended up setting up over turnip tops near a forest which also provided a much needed break from the elements. Birds were slow at first, but the rotary soon started to pull them in from a distance. Every thing was going brilliant except one thing, our shooting. Both of us could not hit a barn door with a banjo, i had one bird out of god knows how many shots. Might as well stayed in the house with feet up, with as much use we was. Have any of you fellow shooters, had any such outing where there was plenty to shoot at but you could not hit any. Or is it just us :*) :*)
