been a dream of mine to own a 28 after shooting one and noticing what a pleasure it was to shoot and shooting some 20's which were so light and point-able. Does anyone shoot a 28 on here and what are their views on the caliber?

Ive been told that there are some good and bad cartridges out there, which ones should i avoid and which are best?

I am looking at 4, 2 of which are yildiz, one is a lincoln premier and another (the cheapest) is a Webley and scott, has anyone got any view - especially on the yildiz or on any of these guns?

cheers :good::oops:

Use a 28 Beretta on a true scaled action ... a pleasure to carry and shoot.

On clays etc 21g homeloads.

For game 21g Italian carts or 24g VIPs .... Eley now have 21g VIPs .. plas or fibre. ... a good choice.

But I use a 12 for clays shoots with 21 or 24 g loads ... cheaper.

I've an Investarm 28b o/u, use Gamebore 16gm no 6 with excellent results. Light to carry around,and very light recoil as well.I use it mainly for one of my permissions for rabbits,squirrels,and the odd pigeon.I often take it instead of my 20b.Money well spent in my opinion.

A mate has a modest collection of shotties: 12b Aya No.4, Benelli M1, Bettinsoli 20b OU among others but the one that always comes out, whether is walked up or decoying is his 28b Beretta OU.

Very light for walked up roaming the woods but he still loves it for use in the hide too.
