liamp79
Had a day off work today and thought i'd go out for a few hours. Went out thinking it would be a good day. How wrong could i have been. In 3 hours only saw probably 6-10 pigeons, never mind shoot anything. The odd few rooks and crows were about, but apart from that it was like the pigeons were on some sort of religious holiday or something! Could it have been the weather? We had quite a hard frost last night and this morning there was no wind! NEVER seen it so quiet out there! ANY IDEAS?

proTOM1
Had same conditions as yourself this morning and shot 80 so they must have been elsewhere

liamp79
Old barley stubble. Where i was, was up on hilly ground and couldn't see anything flighting anywhere! Could see for miles and there was nothing. Just never seen it that quiet. Even over the weekend it had been quieter than normal. Just STRANGE! Ferret Master
I saw quite a few in the woods on the acorns yesterday. Also seen a few about on the drilling and maize stubble. FM
liamp79
Think i'm going to try another permission this weekend where theres a lot of acorns about this year. It seems to be what they fancy at the moment.
