Axe
Has anyone been following the race. I've just watched the second leg and the Melbourne in shore race. What a job these guys have. I had the opportunity to sail and helm a 70ft Global Challenge Yacht last year and it was truly amasing. Bloody hard work though. Looking forward to the 3rd round. Anyone else had a go at this sort of thing?
Pedro
Axe, I went on a sailing weekend a few years ago with some blokes from work. One of the best "blokes" weekends we've had, (apart from my 40th in Amsterdam, pheeew!). There was one of the yachts you're on about racing round the Cowes area, bloody impressive stuff. I've heard that it's not too comfy on board though? P.
Axe
Pedro, suffice to say I had to stay on deck for the entire day. It was too stuffy for me below deck to eat the dinner they served up.
Dunkield
I go a couple of times a year, normally the Solent or Devon, a couple of my mates have done all the training so they rent a decent sized one for the weekend and away we go. Normally 5 or 6 of us. Can be god fun, can also be a bit boring if there is no wind - so, a bit like pigeon shooting really
