The Duncan
Agreed, its an excellent tool and I would say pretty much essential for any serious airgunner, other rifle men too
Sha Bu Le
Ordered one today, maybe it will get here before Chrimbo? Be nice to see what they're putting out.
Sha Bu Le
Combro arrived Christmas eve only been able to try it today. Interesting results?? BSA Lightning XL .177 RWS Superdomes.......................9.4ft/lbs BSA Elite...........................10.17ft/lbs Milbro Match (wadcutters)...........10.34ft/lbs Bisley Pest Control(hollow point)....8.72ft/lbs Quite diverse results for a 6 month old gun...about 6/700 pellets through it. Next HW90 .22 RWS Superdomes..........10.34ft/lbs Accupels (domed)........11.05ft/lbs The HW90 is about 6 years old, I bought it from rabbitslayer (PW nice genuine guy)a couple of months ago. The age it is maybe 6 years a service would bring it up to a par of around 11.5...not a problem. However I am curious about the new Lightning..best result Milbro Match @ 10.34. 3 pellet average. I do have to say the way both guns kill beer bottle tops (hole straight thru when hit square 15yards)they seem to be up to vermin control. Certainly fine for general target shooting & plinking. Any comments would be more than welcome. Edited December 28, 2010 by Sha Bu Le

I reckon that if your HW90 is shooting consistantly, I'd leave well alone. 10.5 fpe is fine for hunting the recognised air rifle quarry and I bet at that power level it goes off sweet as anything - great for accuracy. Better to shoot a bunny and hit it clean with 10.5, than to clean miss with 11.8fpe. Plus if it ever gets checked, you know you are safely under the limit. The beesa seems a tad low, AA field and FT Trophy's may produce a bit more oomph. Only useful if they're consistant though (as always ) ATB Duncan
Sha Bu Le
Hi Duncan..Thanks for your response You're correct the HW does go bang ever so sweetly so as you advise I'll leave it be. May get a bag of mixed pellets to experiment in the beesa, probably cheapest way to find a sweet pellet. Well impressed with its accuracy though.
