alastair0903
my shooting parter noticed a one of our permissions was being eaten off with a load of geese on monday , so after feeding them with over a tone of feed potatoes and leaving a hide set up for a day we decided to have a early morning on wed . after talking to the farmer we decided we to get a good start and got set up for 6am with a some shell type goose decoys our and a couple of crows for effect. turns out we could have had another good hour and a half in bed as the first skeen came in at around half 7 . after alot of swearing from my shooting buddy as his extrema only let off one shot i managed to bag my first canadian goose . as we were waiting for more we were joking about a skeen coming in and us managing to bag 5 out of the 5 shots we had , sure enough after the next skeen came in and the dust was settling i spouted up `i got a left and a right ` paul my shooting buddy says ` bloody hell i got 3`sure enough 5 geese in 5 shots made it a very enjoyable morning . after packing up at around 10 the total bag was 7 canadians and 2 grey lags. after this we went for a walk round another permission and managed to bag 2 mallard and 3 teal to finish the morning off . but after spending most the afternoon cutting geese up we are looking for someone who likes eating geese enough that they will take the off our hands and pluck them , anyone in west cumbria keen ? :yp: Edited December 23, 2010 by alastair0903
