dunganick
yeh there were snipers with airguns (when everyone else was using muskets) they were very deadly becuase they could shoot and becuase there was no puff of smoke they didnt give away their positions. i believe these people got treated particually badly if captured. sussex lad
If i remember my history wasn't a regiment of Napoleon's army decimated in a mountain pass by their Austrian counterparts armed with air rifles!! So theres nothing new about these rifles!!!

Hubertus
is there any sense in using a .30 air rifle for deer? Im not so convinced. Hubertus
Baldrick
Unless you have a paranoia about muzzle flash, what is the point of a large-calibre air rifle, when in the USA a centrefire rifle is easily obtainable? Excuse my ignorance, but surely a .308 air rifle still recoils?
