hogey
Hi Does RFD to RFD work like this Vendor takes gun to RFD who completes paper work for a fee and sends to other RFD Receiving RFD informs purchases he has gun and purchases inspects gun If gun is as described purchases pays RFD agreed price plus fee and complets paper work. RFD transfers funds to other RFD who passes on to vendor. Purchaser takes gun from RFD Comments please from anyone who has purchased a gun this way. Billy.
I think the RFD charge is payable regardless if it is of interest to them or not. The charge will (in most cases) include the courier fee. So expect to pay again to have it sent back too.
Scully
Have done this several times, and that sounds just about right in my experience.Have usually only paid about 20 quid for thr RFD's time,if you're on friendly enough terms this sometimes is waived, but I always insist on paying, you may need this service again sometime.Regards Scully. Billy.
Best thing to do is to find out which RFD is cheaper and pay in advance. I regularly tell RFDs that I'll pay my RFD for the gun I'm buying. They charge me hardly anything, in comparison to the sending RFD
vampire
Basicaly rfd charges upto £45 to send a gun to your nominated rfd and they also take it off the senders licence, your rfd then charges you £25 to put it on your licence, short and curlies money for nothing when you can legally send an air rifle for £10,rfd is making money out of time to rap and the other is making money for writing on your certificate

I'm sure most will have better things to do than acting like glorified over beaucratic postoffices
apache
All you are doing is using two RFD's as a Currier service. You have already bought the gun, unless you have an agreement with the seller to take it back, but that is likely to cost you to return it. My RFD charges £25 to send or receive. So if you had a gun sent by RFD transfer, changed your mind and sent it back you could be easily £100 lighter and gun less!

I think you're getting done over
