adam f
After 6 trips on the rape over Xmas I'd just about had enough... very hard work, despite 1000's of birds! Our club had it's annual Flounder Fishing comp yesterday that had been rescheduled due to the snow before Xmas, and as I hadnt taken the boat out over Xmas I decided on a change from shooting and had a bash. The day started slow, but finished with a red hot hour - ended with 5 fish, the best two identical weights at 3lb 5 1/8oz - a new PB for me and a cracking flounder. All fish were nice and plump and were taken trotting a chubber float with a centerpin - wonderful way to fish. The biggest won the comp and the Xmas hamper for me! Snap Cap
Nice one! I've been blanking with a capital B lately. Not even a wobble.

UKPoacher
I love flounder fishing Cracking way to fish too - centrepin and lightweight rod. I'll be going to the Humber estuary fly-fishing for them in the next week or so. Lovely eating too.
Fisherman Mike
Excellent well done....My biggest was a 4lb 2 Oz monster from the Chesil Fleet in 1991 using a flounder spoon and rag on the hook. Didnt know I had it on until it was almost banked! Ive caught left handed fish before now as well. A much maligned fish I feel, and on light tackle can put up quite a scrap in running tide. Also great to eat if cooked fresh. Thanks for posting the pictures up. Cheers,
