fuzzypigeon
just wondered what cartridge and choke combination everyone is using.....i use 28g blue diamond 7.5 with full choke for decoying, and 32g 6's with full choke when birds arent playing ball with the decoys
Admiral Von Tirpitz
For pigeons I always use 6 shot 32g clear pigeon gamebore and find they are an excellent all round cartridge, I have even shot clays with them on a private field when low of clay rounds, again perfect. I sometimes switch to 4 or 5 shot 36g Buffalo rounds when pigeons are high flying, but that ends up being rather expensive. As for chokes, my main guns are fixed (1/4-3/4) and 1/2-full) and to be honest I can never tell any difference
Dekers
I use 5 or 6 around 30g for all the birds and rabbits. Experience has shown me for my type of shooting 7.5 28 does not work. It may work for some in some situations, so it is simply a matter of what works for any individual in any situation, if it works for you fine! 1/4 and 1/2 usually, or 1/2 almost all the time in the Semi!
