shootnfish
was just wondering if anyone had tried using a bunch of balloons on a long stick to keep pigeons off certain areas of a field. usually i use hi vis vests but sometimes they dont take much notice of them if theres not enough wind.i do use banger ropes sometimes but they dont always work they just lift off the field circle round and land again until it goes off again. bakerboy
I use bamboo canes and fix streamers to the cane made from the safety type tape you can buy from screwfix etc. this moves very easily in a light breeze and if you cut the tape about 3-4metres long you can cover a large area of field very cheaply and very easily, you can also use this method to move pigeons to where you want them to be. The canes can be moved and repositioned very easily.
activeviii
a cane and Salisbury carrier bags. put one handle over the cane and then half hitch the other handle to top of cane. it keeps the bag open and once finished you use the bags to carry the birds back to car. Beardo
Pink balloons do work very well as they look like faces, but carrier bags work pretty much as well and are free
nicelydoesit
plackie bags and old cd discs work fairly well
semiautolee
garden canes and if the fields are close to the farm pop in and see the farmer for some silge wrap that he has took off the bales, works well
Deerstalkerlunt
I would say old cd's due to how much they flash, plus with the carrier bag option. You could get some crow bangers and chuck a rope of them out now and again.
