pavman
i was thinking along the lines of putting out a retained bait and getting an indication of when charlie turns up allowing you to catch him out lamp and shoot quickly
al4x
its an expensive way of doing it Pav and I think more aimed for deer up high seats, I guess it would work but then so would attaching a length of string to the bait and then attaching to your foot If you want a time it appears so you can sit out then a game cam is the way forward
Colster
A mate of mine used the PIR system a while back on rabbit traps that he kept finding closed up with no rabbits in. He set the cam up and played it back and discovered that during the day, the landowners dog's had visited the traps and tried to snuffle out the bait and in doing so obviously caused the traps to close. The funniest bit though was seeing the night time footage where lots of rabbits turned up and sniffed around the traps but couldn't get in.
