killer_pigeon
As far as i heard about it, the engraving is different to previous models, not really my cup of tea personally and the components have been sourced from "more cost effective places" in europe making the gun cheaper to buy. Not sure does this mean they have cut raw material costs by going to cheaper places for wood and metals ?
Boristhedog
I think it's also known as the 'Universal'. My link Edited January 23, 2011 by Boristhedog

bunnykiller
I think it's also known as the 'Universal'. My link The Universal is fixed choke while the silver pigeon 1 is multi choke. The only differance between the silpig1 and silpig3 and 5 is engraving, best buy i have ever made, Fantastic shotgun. Shaun
BerettaSV10
Yes, for the money a excellent gun, I have the SP 1 m/c game version, just need to get out and try it out. One of the cost cuttings is that it does not come with 2 butt pads as on some of the other beretta game guns, which is not a problem for me as the fitted butt pad is the one I would be using. bongo321
+1 thumbs up , Some are very dismissive as it classed as a entry level shotgun, which is a bit insultive , its far from it, compared to some its way above entry . Spara Dritto
Bongo, what barrel length do you have on yours? couldnt agree more with your statment! if the barrels were of lesser quality, or the working trigger parts, then id go for a better one, but as they are identical I didn't bother. Devon Fox
Had mine for a couple of years and it has been a great gun. Mine is 28" multi choke and has proved to be faultless, had a problem when I first bought it with the top leaver rubbing the wood - Beretta dealer sorted it out and re oiled the wood work and looked much nicer afterwards. Its worth trying one out, alot of my shooting team cant shoot for love nor money with a beretta for some reason? Looking to change mine soon after Sacha has tidied up the timber, Im in the market for an AYA 2 or silver hawk but only because I fancy a change to s by s as I mainly shoot game now, and use a semi for everything else!
