Really isn`t much between Mods, i have a Sak and a parker Hale and both as quiet as the other.

I agree with the above. I have a SAK, Parker Hale, and DM80. No difference at all with sound reduction, only price.

Back in the 1980's, the Parker Hale moderator was, by far, the best and most available mod' on the market.

Parker hales are nice solid lumps and balance the rifle nicely, Also they are perfect if you have a .920" barrel like i have on my 10/22 T, size wise they are the perfect diameter match meaning no visible ridge etc through the scope.

Edit:- i have a Scirocco on my .17HMR and it is nice and light and takes the sound down nicely so only the supersonic crack is picked up by Bunnies etc

On a 22lr i wouldnt go any more than the SAK but on the HMR im about to change mine. i have had a SAK on it for a while, it does reduce the sound but there is better as i found out a could of weeks ago.

the Wildcat Whisper is a hell of a lot quieter in and open area. i put the two, SAK and Wildcat, up against each other and i was very surprised in the differance. Ok the Whisper is £125 against the £30 of the SAK but IMHO its worth the extra.

I just have to wait for a mate to sort himself out with a new mod so i can buy his off him.
