Winchester 101 Dilemma

A couple of years ago when my lad was 10 and shooting a few times a week I had the great idea of cutting down the stock on my original Winchester 101 for him to use.

Question is should I restore the gun as I kept the original stock off cut or just sell it as a very good junior gun?

Is a 101 worth the cost of the fix?

Thanks for any advice.

Can i ask how much you cut it down? I saw a 101 lightweight today for £500 M/C 26/27" barrels cut down to 14 1/4" (with recoil pad) considering it as an alternative to a 20 bore seemed a bot front heavy to me and the action was "loose" when broken but tight on closing can the pins be replaced like a berretta? Also it only had 2 chokes Imp Cyl and Imp Cyl (black slightly extended) can you still get the chokes for them?
