sticko
can someone please tell me what ft lb you get from .22lr shorts and can they be used in my cz .22lr any info would be great colin dependant on make they push out about 25 -30ftlbs but not all fit in the mags you have to put some of them in the breech individually and are quite messy from my experience i think they are sometimes refered to as parlour rounds

Beardo
i've got a box of .22cb longs you can have - they're essentially shorts (29 grain - 710 fps) but in a long case so they feed properly in a .22lr rifle. they only useful for short range work though as they don't group very well. Paddy Galore!
the cb longs are ideal for squirrels and roosting crows, they don't travel too far with any accuracy so tree canopy or barn work is the order of the day, i managed to get a reasonable group out to 40 or so yards but the hold over gets a bit silly. kent
They shot so bad in my CZ correct placement was a matter of luck, garanteed hits on squirrels - not a hope! The guns a tack driver normally. Got an FAC rapid 7 instead
