slugger
for those prosport owners out there wondering about the merrits of a bi-pod on their springer...... well i can confirm 2 very brilliant pieces of info!!!!! firstly the whole debate about springers+bipod = rubish......... pfft! its brilliant, for my usual target fun of 50 yds+ coke-can killing [end on] i can confirm tighter groups than my usual soft-rest! and obviously much much better groups than freehand secondly........you may have noticed [like myself] just how bloody hard it is to find a suitable lightweight bipod that will actually fit on our 20mm barrels ? well the dragonclaw bipod >> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UTG-DRAGON-CLAW-A ... 0704167175 is designed to fit barrels upto 19mm.........however [as i suspected] theres plenty of 'meat' in the clamp-material and ive managed to machine-away an extra 3mm [you only actually need an extra 1mm] but i wanted enough clearance to allowe for my [quite thick/dence] foam-tape [so i could 'line' the inner of the clamp to protect the barrel from possible marking. having said all that you could quite easily just file away enough of the ally with a Bleep file untill it fits....... its all very well constructed, and still plenty strong enough given ive just machined it finally, i personally find the slight addition to weight on the front of the rifle actually has improved my standing/freehand shots, so bonuses all round peeps hope this helps slug

slugger
very nice what scope do you use??? its a bsa "sweet 17" ill-ret 3-12x40 ........ not my first choice, but to be fair the scope site real close to the action meaning minimum elev-adjustment needed from 20 ish yds, right out to 60 ish yds plus [apart from me constantly removing the scope recently to do all the mods] it never loses its zero........ a nice robust little scope

UKPoacher
If I need to get down and dirty with my Prosport I just rest it on my game bag. The bag has a back pocket that contains a foam kneeling mat so the bag remains rigid upright even when empty and has the advantage of masking what is behind it;- i.e. me! I mostly shoot from a sitting or crouching position though. If you have your back to something solid and don't move about they don't see you. "boysee, see that small stone on top of the mound over there" *thwack* you get the picture
