You've got yourself a good camera there :good:

I would highly advise using a photo editor to bring out the full potential in these. Number 6 would work well with a vignette.

No need to splash out on Photoshop, you can get some great results from the free ones.

You don't think GreenGrass' photos are taken straight off the camera without a little run through Photoshop ;)

There's no right or wrong when it comes to editing. I just always get the feeling that doing nothing to a photo is a waste. Whilst you can take a picture and think "wow, that's a great photo" all you need to think is how much better it'll look once you've run it through the editor.

It looks like you've tested the Hue and Saturation settings. Have a go at nudging the hue slightly towards the green (to enhance the grass) and then saturate the image. That alone will make the photo look ten times better.

I'll show you what I meant about the 6th photo, but I always feel a bit bad editing someone else's photo... It's kind of like correcting something for someone, but I can assure you I'm only doing it to help you learn some new tricks :good:

Have you opened a Flickr.com account yet?

right i have just got logged in to flickr and will have a better go this time with flickr , i did have a problem last trying to upload pics from there onto here , that was my main problem.....

Flickr is good, as you can get excellent feedback from people who like to take the same kind of photos of you. Add yourself to some wildfowling groups and submit your photos. Here's my photostream and feel free to add me as a friend.

One person who I am really following on Flickr at the moment is left-hand. I find his photos stunning and I find myself spending ages looking at each photo. For your information, he takes photos on a 40D which is older model than yours. So take a look at these he took and hopefully it'll inspire you; Owl, Ferret, Owl 2.

I tried to edit the one I wanted, but the vignetting didn't work with the edges, as the white sky made it look as if the photo had curled edges

I did however have a crack at another photo, which I am pleased with, which took about 10 minutes. The issue I have is that your posted photos are very compressed, so it's hard to edit them. Still gave it a go though.

By no means do I profess to be a Photoshop pro, especially as there are people on this forum who make their living from it..! I'm just trying to give you a bit of help.

Oh and never be afraid to crop a photo.
