chesterjester
Hi, Not long ago bought my 1st air rifle which came with a 3-9x50 scope with an adjustable objective lens (parallax). It may sound a silly question, but could someone explain how you use the parallax adjustment, when 1) zeroing the scope 2) using the scope on targets of different ranges Many Thanks Edited February 26, 2011 by chesterjester
falconer1975
You just adjust it to bring your Target into focus, different ranges will need different adjustments.
FalconFN
With x9 mag you won't notice the difference for most situations, it's when you get to the higher mags that it matters. I have x12 max mag and i sometimes use the ao to rangefind but only when there is time to do so. Edit: just set the ao to your zero distance and forget about it is my advice. Dekers
I get the impression most scopes are set to true Parallax at 10x. If we are talking here about general air rifle distances of circa 35 yards or less then forget about it, Parallax is an unnecessary time consuming folly for the VAST majority! ATB! And it is harder to adjust the PX when hunting than it is to adjust the rear focus.

stubby
have always found its not worth using it with air rifle, more suited to rimfire
bullet boy
Make sure your parallax is matched up with the distance of your target. This will give you a crisp clear view of your Target. I use a Falcon Menace 10x42 parallax adjustable scope and it's set on 35 yards for which my scope is zeroed at. ATB.
