converting a Remy 700 to magazine

I have a Remington 700 Varmint laminated stock and, good gun though it is, I find the floor plate magazine a trial when foxing at night.

So my question is does anyone know someone who can convert the floorplate to a detachable magazine, prefereably near Chester.

Is it a job I can do with the bits - being fairly handy.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Bare inmind on rem700 the lack of drop floorplate on some models especially synthetic or composite is to assist stability and ragidity of the stock. My rfd quoted over £200 and told me it's not that easy and can ****** up the stock if done wrong. On drop floorplate models it's not as bad as the hole in the stock Is already factored in. Dave

Hi Gixer, Cabelas will not export the Kwik-klip to the UK, one of my shooting buddies wanted the same for his Remmy and sent them an email last week.

He asked, even though the price is under the $100 value to need an export licence will they ship the Kwik-Klip to the UK.

My mate sent me a copy of their email to him last night.

Their reply was "We are unable to ship firearms accessories outside the US."

Ian.
