jasper3
fair play for asking, but if you have used a 22lr use the same principles...common sense and think about the backstops if you are not 100% sure about the shot...don't take it

Luckyshot
hi all presently applying for my fac for 22lr and 17 hmr, have used 22lr but am looking for someone who could give me some experience of the 17 hmr ,I know its not a requirement but would like someone with experience to show me the ropes . It makes a pleasant change for someone to actually ask for help to gain some experience with a certain firearm rather than been told to gain some experience before they apply. If I wasn't personally showing 2 people off here the ropes I would have offered myself good luck with your search

casts_by_fly
honestly? Go shoot some extreme velocity 22LR (like a velocitor or similar) without a moderator. That will give you the same effect (on the shooters end) as shooting the HMR. Recoil is non existent. Noise is the same as really high velocity 22LR. The ballistic properties are basically the same aside from range/trajectory. Thanks, Rick
