17 hmr experience sort

hi all presently applying for my fac for 22lr and 17 hmr,have used 22lr but am looking for someone who could give me some experience of the 17 hmr ,I know its not a requirement but would like someone with experience to show me the ropes .willing to cover ammo costs ect no problems

It makes a pleasant change for someone to actually ask for help to gain some experience with a certain firearm rather than been told to gain some experience before they apply. If I wasn't personally showing 2 people off here the ropes I would have offered myself good luck with your search :good:

yeah like to do things properly but looks like theres a lack of fellow geordies with 17 hmr that can help :rolleyes:

honestly? Go shoot some extreme velocity 22LR (like a velocitor or similar) without a moderator. That will give you the same effect (on the shooters end) as shooting the HMR. Recoil is non existent. Noise is the same as really high velocity 22LR. The ballistic properties are basically the same aside from range/trajectory.
