Advice Needed

Hi I need some advice and i hope you guys maybe able to help. Firstly i have a closed ticket i have 2x 22lr 1x 17hmr 1x 223 centre fire and two shot guns i have had these on my ticket from 2009 and sold my centre fire in 2010 as it was to heavey and i was strugeling with my disability.

i have since purchase another centre fire.

The problem is on one permission which is four seperate areas with the minimun being around 66 acres i can use my centre fire for foxes. i have had these permissions since 2009.

I spoke to my FEO today about another farm i shoot on which is over run with foxes. The land drops from one side and banks up to a main duel carriage way and covers from one sit to another 60acres (so my FEO say) i think it is more 100 acres and across a single lane road which does not get much traffic is the other 66 acres which i am aloud to shot .223 on.

I am confused as to why i can shoot on one side of the road and to make matters worse on the other side the farm i want to shot on drops from both sides to make a small valley and has a small brook running through the middle which i would say wa safer shooting and about 1/2 mile down streem i can also shoot in the same valley but the permissions do not join

i hope this make sence i have sent in O/S maps and explained that i can not shot foxes with 17hmr on the land what can i do.

Any Help would be greatul.

Thanks

im sorry if i sound stupid but whats the difference between a open ticket and a closed ticket and where does it say this on your license?

An open ticket basically allows you to 'survey' any land you have permission on, which allows you the freedom to shoot anywhere that you deem as safe, so you don't need to get the polie to come out and survey it and advise you.

You ticket when closed will say something like 'To shoot over land that has been deemed suitable by the Chief Constable' or similar, open says something like 'To shoot over land where the holder has lawful authority'.

Checked with the land owner today and the police are wrong with the acrerage they are out by 40 acres so i have to send in new maps and a letter explaining why i want to use centerfire but i think that speaks for it self

Good luck...the Police (FEO) really are a bunch of ****** on far too many occasions!

When I has a closed fac I used to send in pictures from google earth like the one below along with my permission slips, then they can't get the size wrong then. Trouble was though once the farmer saw these they wanted a copy doing for all sorts of odd fields they own and arn't sure of the size

Thanks (Luckyshot) i did send photo's like these when i first sent in the permission last April last year they told me that they were no good as they needed to be O/S maps only showing public foot paths ect but, they also told me that the land was due a 5 yearly inspection but their fills show it was inspected in 2009 depends on who you speak to at the office, as to what story you get. Iam now sending in a copy of the land deeds a O/S map And a photo from google earth showing the boundrys by the time i have clearance my five year point will be up and i will get my open licence.

This pic is off google earth pro. I only use this as it clearly states the exact acerage. They can't argue with that.

I have down loaded google earth pro but fro some reason when i go to print ot removes the box stating the acres and it dose all strange thing could this be because i have it on the seven day trial.

Cheers

You can't print it straight off you need to do a screen capture and then print it off. Abit of a mess on but well worth it as it is very accurate :good:
