harryhawk
Tip. Raise the larsen off the ground when you've got a call bird, on an old oil drum or similar. Magpies don't like others to be higher than them, as it's a top entry they'll be dancing around the top trying to get at the decoy. Once youve caughtanother, pass on the decoy or despatch, The bird just caught goes into the decoy section then move to another spot, continue to rotate around your pemission, job done. You can catch carrion crows with a magpie decoy but not the other way around. Good luck with the egg thieves
Stealth Stalker
Cheers for the tip Harryhawk its still a bit cold for the call bird at the moment I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit. Catamong's gonna get me a call bird, then we'll see how I get on. I'm looking at 4 maggies as I type, flitting round the fields out the back.
