Richard.Hosgood
Hi everyone, took my new Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 out this morning for a round of sporting clays, no problems whatsoever, and a lovely gun to use. However, back home and giving it a clean, I noticed that the top firing pin is low its hole in the action, such that I'm sure it would rub when being fired, and also that the **** / button (sorry, dont know its technical name!) as arrowed in the top picture below has gone wonky - I know for sure, 100% it was straight / even before I took it out today. The gun didnt take any knocks or such like when being used, wasnt dropped or anything. It may be perfectly normal and maybe I'm being paranoid as its my first gun, but if its not right then I shall be taking it back to the dealer to be sorted. Any help appreciated! Thanks. gixer1
That last pic looks like a robot looking up after an oral session.... The wonky pin is normal...not sure about the firing pin as i dont get the explanation although I would expect it's also normal... gixer1
It's made like that as far as I'm aware, the berreta sp3 and ultralight in my cabinet are both like that, if you push the pin in while the opening lever is pushed over it will allow it to come back to the centre position for storage in the case they come in. Regards, Gixer In the picture of the robot giving oral - lol - look at the top pin, which is low in the hole, thats what I'm thinking may cause an issue with it rubbing against the bottom of the hole? Alycidon
I have used Beretta for the last 18 years, no problems at all. Cant think that this is a serious issue, pehaps a call to GMK who are teh importers will put your mind at rest. They handle straightforward Beretta warrenty issues in house. They need too, as when your mrs finds out how much you have spent on your new toy you won't be getting any action for a long long time
